While I was attending university, my energy level was constantly low.  Especially in one class, I sat deliberately at the back to sleep with my head on the windowsill.  My fellow students thought it was because I worked nightshift in a fast food restaurant.  Later I realised that it was because of the fast food, not the nightshift.  I lived on vetkoek and pasta.  Very unhealthy and very unbalanced. 

When I took my career seriously, I found that I just cannot cope with a normal eight hour working day.  I lost concentration during mid-morning.  If I didn’t fell asleep after lunch, I forced myself to continue until the end of my working day.  Most afternoons were wasted, just because I had no energy for anything productive. 

And in the evenings I was frustrated, because I wanted to spend time with my wife, wanted to build a part time business and wanted to have a hobby, but I just couldn’t.  When my wife started to walk in the afternoons, I didn’t even have the energy to ride along on my bicycle. 

I’ve tried energy bars and drinks, with no real success.  I bought health-related equipment, like a water filter and an ozone generator.  These helped a little.  I wanted to (but never did) join a gym. 

The first real effective change was when my wife and I changed our eating habits.  We started to make healthy choices, and we added Herbalife’s nutritional supplements.  We changed for instance from sunflower oil to olive oil, to give a small example.  That’s when we saw real results.  My energy improved dramatically.  My wife had a whole bunch of medical issues, which disappeared when our eating habits improved. 

Feeling this great motivated me to start exercising regularly.  I got addicted to feeling healthy.  Then I fine tuned my personal health routine.  I can’t remember when was the last time I saw a doctor (I don’t even have a regular GP any more). 

One of the biggest benefits I received from being healthy, is that I built a part time business into this business. 

On a more formal side.  I studied 6 years and obtained two degrees (B.A. and B.Th.), both related to counselling.  In my search to improve my own health, I spend a third of my income on health related products.  I spend more than 6000 hours reading about natural health.  I during the last five years I attended about 52 seminars (that I could remember of) on health subjects.

In a nutshell, I believe that I am fully equipped to help you to design a personalised health plan.  The determining factor is what you want, your goals and preferences.  I have enough knowledge about nutrition, exercise and human behaviour to blend all the important factors into a specific plan for you.
